Rang up in the morning and the car was gone by the afternoon. Price I was quoted was the price I got paid — no messing about at the last minute.

Car had failed its MOT and wasn't worth fixing. These lads turned up on time, paid me the same day and sorted the paperwork with the DVLA for me.

Common Questions

Scrapping your car, explained

It makes things easier, but you can still scrap without it. We'll need proof you own the vehicle and photo ID. As a DVLA-authorised ATF we notify the DVLA on your behalf either way, so the car comes off your name.
An Authorised Treatment Facility is a site licensed to depollute and dismantle end-of-life vehicles. Only an ATF can issue a valid Certificate of Destruction. Scrapping with an unlicensed yard can leave you legally liable for the vehicle. Our Environment Agency scrap metal dealer licence is 20/01104/SCRAPS — it's on the public register, so you're welcome to check it before you book.
No. We take non-runners, MOT failures, accident-damaged and burnt-out vehicles. Our recovery truck does the work — just tell us the condition when you book so we bring the right kit.
By bank transfer at the point of collection — we send the payment as we take the vehicle, so it's done and dusted before our driver leaves. We don't pay in cash: under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act it's illegal for scrap dealers to pay cash for vehicles, and any yard offering you cash is breaking the law. Just have your bank details ready when we arrive.
Yes. Once the DVLA is notified the vehicle has been scrapped, any full remaining months of tax are automatically refunded to you by cheque. You don't need to do anything separately.
Remove personal belongings, your number plates if you're keeping the registration, any private plate retention paperwork, and your SD card or dashcam. Don't worry about draining fluids — that's our job.
Yes — vans, 4x4s, motorbikes and light commercials. Give us a ring on 01773 863415 with the details and we'll quote you directly.
About your quote: prices shown are based on your vehicle's size, weight, condition and wheel type, and are an estimate rather than a binding offer. The final price is confirmed when we see the vehicle on collection. Vehicle lookup is currently running in demonstration mode while our DVLA connection is being set up — until then, the vehicle details shown are examples only. For a firm price today, call us on 01773 863415.
